1 - 3 ANGLERS: $800 | 4 ANGLERS: $1000
Everywhere, from the mouth of the Mississippi to the exquisite shallow waters of the bayou, the reds are in abundance.
Whether you’re sitting on a point casting popping-corks and bait shrimp, sight-fishing in our shallow clear ponds, or easing down the calm shorelines throwing spinner baits or spoons, redfishing is about as intense as it gets.
POUND-PER-POUND BEST FIGHT
The Gulf of Mexico is one of the largest spawning grounds for this sought-after game fish. They make for excellent eating, and pound-per-pound are one of the best fights there is.
The size of the redfish here in Venice average from two to ten pounds with some huge bulls mixed in. Last year, many of our clients landed a huge red in the 40 plus pound range. However, the smaller reds are much better eating. The large females are released for spawning stock, ensuring plenty of fish for years to come.
Using light tackle enhances the experience. Our light action spinning tackle is geared toward the slot-sized fish, but the larger bulls put up some great battles on this light gear. The limit for redfish in Louisiana is five per angler, and it’s almost always caught.
PRIME REDFISH SEASON
You’ll find that Brent is on the pulse of this bite. He’s found the prime season to be between March through December, but they bite all year ‘round.
